ATTRACTIONS

Die Glocke! 2

After the mysterious reappearance of monsters and machines from decades past, the war machine continues to churn out new means of carnage…
In pursuit of super soldiers, monsters were birthed from the womb of war, and armoured with instruments to better deliver destruction onto the enemy.
Their faces are stricken with the blackness of evil…evil awakened through their meddling with the very threads of reality itself.
Victory is the goal by any means necessary; blood is their drink - and any captured alive are catalysts to their ultimate goal of domination. Demented doctors continue their sick testing to further twist and mold their men into the ultimate killing machines, desperate to win the war they left behind 80 years ago. Death is their song - and YOU will be their instrument.
(Please be advised that this attraction is based on a fictional story & has a Nazi German theme & features the Swastika symbol, which some guests may find offensive. This is used solely for theatrical set décor & theming purposes).

Les Morts Vivants!

When a French trading ship came into port it was carrying much more than goods…
Unbeknown to the locals it was carrying death, a living death unlike anything seen before. As some of the sailors made merry in the tavern and cavorted with the local wenches they spread this infernal infection with the folk of London, acting as harbingers for death itself.
It changed people…making them hungry for living flesh and changing people into monsters. Death became temporary, with grotesque impressions of ‘people’ laying waste to London and its people.
Nobody was safe. Nobody is safe.

Infernal Inn

It started off exactly as planned, a party made up of the influential and the wealthy hosted at the Sunnyfield Hotel. Laughter flowed as freely as the drinks and many a deal was struck with shaking hands.
It was exactly as planned…until it happened. It started with a scream - the lights flickering as the room whipped up into a panic. One of the guests had gone rabid, driving a knife into the chest of the person closest. She wouldn’t stop stabbing. Again and again the knife was driven into the chest of her victim, manic laughter echoing throughout the building…
The guests fled, but there was almost always someone to stop them. Sometimes another guest with the stain of Hell across their face, others a sinister hooded figure that oozed corruption.
The horror in Sunnyfield Hotel is ongoing - but worry not.
There’s always a room available…

Old Mercy!

A major storm is coming, you see a glimmer of light in the distance and seek shelter in the abandoned Mercy Hospital – once a site of healing and rejuvenation. Though when the screams became the standard - people began to question the nature of the hospital’s practice.
You enter the decaying building and soon find out the evil malpractice continues to this day. The light from the storm gives a glimpse into the horrors that await.  Will you make it through the decaying wards, or will you meet your fate with Doctor Mercy himself?

Freak Show! Scare Zone!

June 22, 1920, the Rellik Brothers Circus was cut down in transit to their next show location - tragically dashing the show and its performers across the tracks where it crashed. The show itself was famous for many things - though one of its most popular attractions was the Freak Show. People would travel from far and wide to get a peak at the Freaks on show, but those years of torment festered in the deceased performers and they now do anything but rest. Some say they still wander the site of that tragic crash, reanimated from the dead and roaming with sinister intent…
Or so they say. The locals made a game of it to test the legend and venture into those woods as a test of nerve. Yet none have returned...dare you go to get a peak at the Freak Show?

Cult of The Farm!

Farms - acres of land and rolling fields, secluded from city life and from the prying eyes of decency…
Every stalk of corn and every parked tractor casts a shadow - and shadows are where the malevolent best operate. Blood is full of all the minerals needed for a healthy harvest and the gods smile upon those who offer sacrifices in their name. Cults and sinister organization's exist with every facet of life right under the nose who exist none the wiser to their existence…and they make the perfect victims.

Containment! Scare Zone!

The CBRC is tasked with the most very dangerous of containment assignments. Every plague, chemical, and fallout is seen to by them. However, they could never have predicted the explosive to have laid dormant, until they were right upon it. And the blast was the least of their concerns...
It released some kind of agent into the air. One that burns from the slightest touch. Asphyxiates with the shallowest breath. And one that reduces one to insanity with the slimmest moment of exposure. Horrifically burned, bloodied, melted and mad they now stalk like corpses through this cursed blast sight. Dare you risk joining the contaminated ghouls that remain...?

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Yorkshire Scare Grounds Scream Park (YSGSP) Yorkshires Biggest, Scariest & most exciting Halloween destination. This “haunted house” type of attraction is located on the aptly named Hell Lane in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. The YSGSP is designed to thrill, scare and entertain you with live actors, authentic sets, atmospheric lighting and sound and static and moving props. Unlike some haunted attractions where you purchase a ticket, go to a central hub then spend most of the night queueing for each attraction , the YSGSP comprises several attractions along a set route, where you go through each themed area one after another for one single ticket price. Each attraction has an individual theme and set that makes it unique.

The Yorkshire Scare Grounds Scream Park is open on select evenings in October 2025. Make sure you follow us on our social media for exclusive updates.

We will operate whatever the weather; in cases of very extreme weather we will post a notice on the main page of the web site and our Facebook page by 5pm that day.

Dress as if you are going for a walk on an October evening. As part of the attraction is outdoors you should dress accordingly. Fancy dress, face paints and masks are not allowed and flat shoes are a must as some surfaces are uneven.

If at any point you find the horror too much, all you have to do is notify the nearest actor or security staff and you will be escorted back to the public area.

As a victim…sorry…guest of the Yorkshire Scare Grounds Scream Park, you may be subjected to disorienting and distracting sounds, lights, strobe lights, lasers, fog & smoke, scent effects , wind, water, and other theatrical special effects. You may be required to bend, crouch and walk through segments of the haunted attraction; sometimes over uneven flooring and ground. You will interact with the characters of the attractions. At times, you will be in and move through very dark, pitch black and confined spaces. And mostly, you’ll have a hell of a lot of horrific fun!

The live action scare experiences can take on average 40 minutes to get through. Some people go through very slowly whilst others go much quicker, It could be longer for some, this includes waiting in line to enter. On busy nights — Fridays and Saturdays — wait times may be a little longer – although timed entry should minimize waiting. We have entertainment to occupy your time while you wait including interaction with our actors and a refreshment area at the end.

The Yorkshire Scare Grounds Scream Park is open to the public. The attraction is recommended for souls 12 and older, however this is just a recommendation and parental discretion is advised. Children under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 18 at all times. The Yorkshire Scare Grounds Scream Park is not recommended for pregnant women, people with heart conditions, epilepsy, claustrophobia, asthmatic or those who are scared of things that go bump in the night. The Scare Grounds is mainly an outdoor attraction and will include walking outdoors on uneven surfaces through woodland which, dependent on the weather, may be wet or muddy, and is unsuitable for wheelchairs.  There is a flight of stairs down to the woodland area, and stone pathways which some may find difficult to navigate.

You will be divided into groups of approx 12 (or less during quieter periods). The scares and scenes are designed to be effective for any group size; groups larger than 12 will only be admitted at the discretion of the show producer. There are many places too where there is a maximum that will fit in the area. So, while we would be more than happy to terrify all of your friends as one big group, we limit group sizes to approx 12 people and we ask that you stay together as such throughout the attraction — after all, we don’t any of you getting lost, or do we?
